Hi, my name is Michele Dowdall, but my friends and family call me Shelly.

Number crunching has always been my passion. After graduating college, I worked in retail banking, mortgage origination, and hospital/health care administration. Some of the skills I mastered throughout my career include business bookkeeping and accounting, credit analysis, budgeting, reimbursement analysis, benchmark analysis, spreadsheet/report building, training, and the ability to present challenging information to a wide array of audiences ranging from students to board of directors.

For the past 24 years, my husband Bill and I have owned and operated several successful businesses. We started in real estate—investing, owning, and managing residential rentals. In 2010, Bill launched his insurance agency. In those early days, with our son still young, Bill felt the pressure to do everything himself.

As our son grew older, I was able to step in—not just as support, but as a strategic partner. Bill became the “producer,” and I became the “number cruncher.” When he was finally able to let go and trust that I had his back, everything changed.

That first year we teamed up, his business grew by 40%. And continued to grow every year after.

What made the difference? Knowing the real numbers. Understanding them. Using them to make smart, strategic decisions.

Over the years, I’ve helped friends and fellow business owners do the same—offering services like full-charge outsourced bookkeeping services, bookkeeping clean-up, financial analysis, and even forensic accounting. With our son now older, I’m thrilled to focus on my dream business: Bookkeeping and Financial Analysis.
